Hanryk's Diversified Capabilities Of Aerospace Spare Parts Production
Vertical and Horizontal CNC Turning
At Hanryk, we offer advanced CNC turning services that employ cutting-edge precision technology to ensure rapid production with tight tolerances. Our CNC turning processes are ideal for parts with rotational symmetry and encompass a range of procedures including cutting, facing, threading, forming, drilling, knurling, broaching, and boring. Our 5-axis CNC Lathe machine leverages high-speed spindles to turn materials quickly while removing excess material, and is managed by CAD (Computer Assisted Drawing) software. We adhere to blueprints to ensure that our CNC Lathe delivers precise specifications for small and large-scale productions across various metals/alloys and most types of plastics.
5-axis CNC Machining
Most industrial machining processes are performed on three axes: X, Y, and Z. However, a 5-axis CNC machining system adds two rotary axis movements (A and B) to enable multi-directional capabilities. This advanced technology reduces production time by eliminating the need for multiple setups, resulting in fewer errors and greater efficiency.
While some companies claim to offer true 5-axis simultaneous machining, they often use other versions such as 3+2 axis (3 axes for machining and 2 axes for positioning) or 4+1 (4 axes for machining and 1 axis for positioning).
In aerospace manufacturing, where complex contours are common, 5-axis CNC machines are a wise choice. At Hanryk, we provide unparalleled service with true 5-axis simultaneous machining capabilities.
Vertical & Horizontal CNC Milling
At Hanryk, we offer CNC-milling services that utilize the latest precision technology to achieve speedy production while maintaining tight tolerances. Our vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines feature a spindle speed of up to 2,000 RPM, a rigid tapping speed of up to 8,000 RPM, and a traverse speed of up to 50 meters per minute. This allows us to create designs ranging from simple straight lines to complex geometric shapes with unparalleled reliability and repeatability. Our 5 Axis CNC machining capabilities are especially suited for meeting the high-performance and rigorous demands of the aerospace industry.
Our CNC milling services can generate G-codes from both 3D CAD files (.DWG) and hard-copy prints, and we accept a wide variety of file formats, including .PDF, .DXF, .IGS, .SLDDRW, .SLDPRT, and .STP. However, providing a 3D CAD file can significantly reduce the time spent on programming the CNC milling code.
CMM Inspection for Precision and Safety in Aerospace Engineering Projects
In the realm of aerospace engineering, precision and safety are paramount, making CMM inspection a crucial step in any project. This process ensures that your 2D drawings and CAD models are translated into real-world components with the utmost reliability, accuracy, and safety. Unfortunately, only a select few machine shops possess the necessary expertise and technology to conduct proper third-party inspections.
At our facility, we take pride in our state-of-the-art temperature and humidity-controlled lab, which eliminates any possibility of thermal expansion. We utilize a range of contact and vision CMM systems to accurately measure the dimensions of every component along the X, Y, and Z-axes. For components that are too small or fragile for contact measuring, we employ vision or non-contact CMMs that work with lasers to deliver precise results.

Materials for Aerospace CNC machining
The selection of materials plays a crucial role in the field of aerospace engineering. The ideal materials for aerospace applications should possess several qualities, such as lightweight construction, high resistance to temperature fluctuations, damage tolerance, and durability.
As a factory specialized in CNC machining parts, sheet metal parts, casting parts, and injection molding parts, we offer a range of materials that are highly sought after by the aerospace industry. Our expertise in this field enables us to provide materials that are specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of aerospace applications. Here are some of the most preferred materials in the aerospace industry that we offer:
Aluminum
Aluminum has a rich history of being the predominant metal used in aerospace applications. In fact, for a period of time in the past, up to 70% of aircraft were constructed using aluminum. This is due to its lightweight nature, affordability, cutting-edge technology, and ease of workability, which in turn contributes to fuel efficiency and weight reduction.
Aluminum alloys are also highly regarded for their strength and resistance to corrosion, making them ideal materials for various machinery and engine components. Despite the emergence of new and advanced materials such as composites and new alloys, aluminum and its alloys still maintain a significant range of applications within the aerospace industry.
Titanium
Titanium is a highly regarded material due to its ability to withstand corrosion, its strength, and its low density. It emerged as a popular material during the Cold War, and by the 1950s it had established a strong presence in the aerospace industry. Although it is slightly heavier than aluminum, its impressive strength means that less of it can be used. Ti6Al4V is the most widely used grade of titanium. Military aircraft are increasingly using titanium to produce lighter and stronger components, and with the development of various titanium alloys, its popularity continues to rise. Titanium is frequently used in the manufacturing of engine components, hydraulic systems, machinery, and aircraft structural frames.
Engineering Plastics
Aerospace applications benefit greatly from the exceptional properties of engineering plastics such as PC, PTFE, PEEK, and PA. These materials exhibit outstanding high-performance characteristics, including the ability to withstand high temperatures without deformation, as well as resistance to chemicals, weather, and flame. By utilizing CNC machining and 3D printing, the aerospace industry has undergone a significant transformation, with thermoplastic polymers surpassing metals in terms of weight reduction and corrosion resistance, while also surpassing glass in durability.
Composite Materials
The aerospace industry has seen a significant increase in the use of composite materials, particularly CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) and GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic), since 1987. These materials are highly malleable, allowing for easy handling, design, shaping, and repair. They have become essential for improving fuel efficiency and reducing weight. Initially, composite materials were only utilized for cabin components or lightweight structural pieces, but they are now commonly employed for landing gear, engines, wings, and fuselage skins.
In addition to the aforementioned materials, we possess the capability to work with a diverse range of other materials, including but not limited to stainless steel, nickel-tungsten alloys, copper, chromium, brass, bronze, beryllium, manganese, molybdenum, platinum, and graphite. Our team and cutting-edge technology are fully equipped to handle the machining of virtually any material you may require.
